Whether it’s bonding, printing, painting, coating, or processing recycled plastics: The requirements for plastic surfaces are becoming increasingly specific. A single technology is rarely the optimal solution. That’s why Plasmatreat offers a broad portfolio of plasma technologies for a wide variety of applications across the entire plastics value chain.
At Fakuma 2026, the company will present two complementary technologies: Openair-Plasma® for automated in-line surface treatment at atmospheric pressure and AURORA-Plasma for demanding low-pressure applications in batch processes. Together, they enable the targeted activation, cleaning, and functional modification of plastic surfaces for reliable and reproducible manufacturing processes.
Openair-Plasma® is integrated directly into production lines and prepares surfaces immediately prior to subsequent process steps. The technology improves adhesion for bonding, printing, painting, and coating processes and ensures high process speeds while delivering reproducible results.
AURORA-Plasma extends the possibilities of surface treatment to complex 3D geometries and demanding high-performance polymers such as PEEK, PTFE, FEP, or PEBA. The low-pressure technology enables uniform and controlled treatment even where conventional methods reach their limits. Here, too, the surface is prepared for adhesion in bonding, printing, painting, and coating processes.
